It’s Saina vs Sindhu at India Super Series!


The much awaited match between the two heavyweights in Indian badminton – Saina Nehwal and PV Sindhu is finally set!

Saina and Sindhu both won their respective second round matches to set an all-India quarter-finals in Indian Open Super Series 2017. Saina overpowered Pornpawee Chochuwong (THA) 21-14 21-12 to enter quarter-finals. Sindhu joined her with a 21-16 23-21 win over Saena Kawakami (JPN) in the second round.

This is only second time that the two Indian Olympic medalists are playing against each other on international stage. Last time they played each other was in the finals of 2014 India Grand Prix Gold event in which Saina had emerged victorious in straight games. This meet will be interesting as this is the first time they are taking on each other after Sindhu’s historic silver medal in Rio Olympics.

Now this is the time when loyalty of Indian fans will be tested. Whom are you rooting for?
