After a memorable win over Myanmar in Asia Cup qualifiers Blue Tigers are all set to achieve a ranking of around 101-105 in the upcoming FIFA World Rankings.
As per the prognosis tool offered in the FIFA website, India, which is on 233 points, will shoot up to 331 ranking points on the back of two away victories. The Blue Tigers will be tied on points with Nicaragua, Lithuania and Estonia. This will be India’s best ranking since February 1996, when the team was 94th.
India next plays an international friendly against Lebanon on June 7th which will be followed by an 2019 AFC Asia Cup qualifier round 3 group A match against Kyrgyzstan on June 13th. Two positive results in these matches could push India to a double-digit ranking.
