India take an unassailable 3-0 lead over Uzbekistan in the Davis Cup Asia/Oceania Group 1 Round 2 tie after Rohan Bopanna and debutant Sriram Balaji defeated Farrukh Dustov and Sanjar Fayziev 6-2, 6-4, 6-1 in the doubles rubber. Yesterday Ramkumar and Prajnesh had given India a 2-0 lead.
With this win, India have qualified to play in World Group playoffs to be played in September for a spot in the Davis Cup 2018 World Group. India and Kazakhstan have qualified from Asia-Oceania Group.
Tomorrow reverse singles dead rubbers will be played.
