Joshna Chinappa’s World Championship journey ends in agony

India’s no. 1 squash player Joshna Chinappa went down fighting to 2nd seed Camille Serme of France in the quarter-finals of the Women’s World Squash Championship at El Gouna, Egypt.

Chinappa lost 6-11 12-10 7-11 11-8 3-11 to Camille in a 70-minute marathon yesterday night.

It was one of the best performances of Joshna and was asserted by Camille Serme. “Never have I seen Joshna playing at such high level,” said Camille after the win.

Joshna is only second Indian player to enter Women’s World Squash Championship QF
