Monte Carlo Masters 2017: Rohan Bopanna and Pablo Cuevas upset world no. 1 team to enter semis


Rohan Bopanna and his Uruguayan partner Pablo Cuevas won a thrilling three-set battle against world no. 1 team of Henri Kontinen of Finland and Australia’s John Peers to enter the semi-finals of the ATP 1000, Monte-Carlo Masters 2017 in Monte Carlo, Monaco.

Bopanna and Cuevas lost the first set and were made to toil hard before clinching a 3-6, 6-3, 13-11 win in their quarter-final clash which lasted for around one hour and 12 minutes.

The Indo-Uruguayan combination will now contest Romain Arneodo of Monaco and Hugo Nys of France for a place in the final.
